Monetary donations are the life blood of the Cupboard "a 501(c)(3) organization" and are fully tax deductible. See above for details. You can also view our wish list here.

Donation of food items from individuals, religious and service organizations, or any Group is also greatly appreciated. Please consider giving non-perishable
items such as:

  • Healthy Soup
  • Cereal
  • Fruit
  • Canned Meat
  • Dried Beans
  • Canned Black or White Beans
  • Brown or White Rice
  • Macaroni and Cheese
  • Individual Drinks
  • Juice Boxes
  • Spaghetti
  • Personal Hygiene Items (shampoo, soap, tampons, razors, etc.)
Please do not donate food items that require refrigeration or freezing.

Non-perishable food donations can be brought to the 4th Street side door of Mother Hubbard's Cupboard (directly across from 501 N. 4th St), on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 2:00 and 2:45 PM or by appointment. Please leave a message at 910-762-2199 to arrange an appointment for donations. Park in the indicated loading zone and bring the food to the donations door, ring the bell, and a volunteer will direct you from there.

Mother Hubbard's Cupboard is a tax-exempt organization under section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS code. Unless otherwise noted, the only goods and services provided are tangible charitable benefits.

Mother Hubbard's is a partner agency of both United Way of the Cape Fear Area and Food Bank of Central Eastern North Carolina.
